It was at Borehamwoods ground Wilf Meadow Park ....nice little ground actually.....we normally play Grays pre season but dont think they are this year,Southend next,then Colchester and off to Germany.................. Personally i think this whole loaning premier league players to other premier league clubs should of been banned years ago.................but certainly wouldnt turn my nose up at Carroll. The current system is flawed mate. IMO it should be restricted to younger squad players in need of first team game time, not multi million pound, established international level players. It's also unfair that the players are banned from appearing against their parent clubs. A club like City or Chelsea could in theory buy up and loan out millions of pounds worth of talent and gain an unfair advantage by having those players play against all their main rivals in teams that otherwise wouldn't be able to afford such talent. They then have the advantage of playing the same teams but weakened by the absence of them. I think it was Wenger who first pointed that out.. Quote Link to post Share on other sites

I agree..................also,in an instance like this with Carroll it kind of softens the blow of making a bad signing when you know you havent got to pick up the players wages because he can try and win the title with another team that you bought him to win for you !!..............Not that West Ham will be challenging for the title but you get my drift.....................and then whenever it suits ask for him back......theoretically Wayne Rooney could be loaned out to Chelsea and win the Premiership with them,then go back and with it with Utd next year. I think the only loans that should be acceptable are outside of the league the player plays in be it lower league or foreign. Quote Link to post Share on other sites
